After a review of a brand new book by Victoria Sharp, a Canadian author, it is definite and very clear that many of the women of today are having quite enough of “beauty industry” insanities. No one seems to know what exactly they are applying to their skin and their hair any more, yet very few seem to care enough to learn more about it. Instead, they seem to be turning towards total elimination of industrial products and are beginning to use ancient women’s knowledge.

Body Care - 7 Ancient Beauty Secrets is a truly wonderful, warm and thorough resource that very clearly explains what defines beauty and health and what doesn’t. Even more so, Victoria made sure to clarify the “no need for insanity”. What has been and, one after another generation, still is conceived as a secret is not exactly what’s been and is served to women on daily bases.

After spending months in modern day research and reviewing, selecting and filtering the best of what she was able to find in her family legacy as well as legacies of her friends and colleagues families she composed a very down to earth, clear and concise book that serves as a guide to natural, no preservatives, home made cosmetics. The motto that has been ringing through the ether but not noticed enough saying not to apply to your skin almost anything you wouldn’t dare to eat is resurfacing in this extraordinary woman’s work.

It is necessary, or better yet, essential that every woman that is consciously caring for her body and general health educates herself in this not enough explained area of a woman’s daily life.

You need to understand your body first…

Victoria, as true devotee to enhancing quality of women’s lives is explaining that it is truly not important to get yourself lost in the sea of cosmetic industries sales pitches and that if daily routine is approached from a slightly different angle, many women would almost over night be able to shake many of their stresses away. She emphasizes the importance of self care and self understanding as means to obtaining better understanding of the rest of the world. Be a little vain is one of the messages that everyone has to begin to listen to.

Even though initially intended for women, a number of men that laid their hands on this great book have commented that the resource is by no means to be understood as a “woman’s thing”. Just the opposite, it is to be considered a personal guide to good living.
