| So, Halloween is just around the corner and you still haven't figured out what your child wants to be. Trick or Treating is a big event, and the school is letting the children dress up during their Halloween party. Everyone is excited but you still don't have a costume. You need some easy children's Halloween costumes ideas, and fast. You've already tried to purchase a costume. They are either too expensive, not the right size, or they simply don't have what you want. You don't know anyone who is willing to let you borrow a costume. There also isn't a costume shop in your area. The only option left is to make one but there isn't enough time. Your only option is to make your kids some easy children's Halloween costumes. In fact, you don't need to do this alone. Your kids can help. It will be a fun project for them, especially if the costume comes out great. Here is some advice that will help you create easy children's Halloween costumes that will be a hit. Look in the House In order to find easy children's Halloween costumes ideas that are fun, you need to do a few things. Your first step is to look in the house and see what kinds of materials you have that can be turned into costumes. Look for old sheets, boxes, cardboard and cardstock, aluminum foil, construction paper, coat hangers, wire, beads, string, etc. Once you gather all the materials, look at them with your children. This may help spark some easy children's Halloween costumes ideas. You can either choose the old favorites, such as robots made from tinfoil lined boxes, or ghosts which are usually sheets with holes cut for the eyes and mouth. You can also make black cat costumes, princess costumes, witches, etc using materials found in the house. Other costumes What if your child has his/her heart set on a certain character? It may be a little harder to create the costume and you may need some skills other than cut and paste- but the extra effort may be worth it.
