The real essence of life is all about celebrations. People celebrate births and deaths. Families get together for the fourth of July, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving, and every other holiday under the sun. Accomplishments in school and work are also commemorated. Indeed, celebrations make life worthwhile, and possibly one of the biggest and most important celebrations is the union of two souls in matrimony. After all, not everybody is lucky enough to find that special someone and when they do, it’s always nice to be a part of their joy.

Wedding Bells A-ringing

A wedding is the quintessential joyful event. Both friends and family rejoice and toast to the couples’ health, well-being, and long life together. Whether you are part of the wedding entourage or an invited guest, you are sharing the couple’s joy at being one.

Of course, you’d like to give them a gift that will play a significant role in their lives. Or, at least, have a significant place in their new home. The standard gifts of expensive China, oven toasters, and towels are much too pass้. Consider giving something that screams elegance and charm like a beautifully crafted floor clock.

Floor clocks A-chiming

For the couple who is about to live happily ever after in their new home, a floor clock is a classy, not to mention classic, gift to be had. A floor clock, also known as a grandfather clock, is a massive wooden timepiece that’s at least 6 feet tall. A floor clock is often an antique made from sturdy oak, maple, or teak wood. The floor clock’s face is often made of expensive materials, such as mother-of-pearl, marble, and crystals.

Despite the fine craftsmanship, however, the floor clock’s most distinguishing feature is no other than the pendulum. The floor clock’s pendulum swings sideways constantly, marking the passage of time. The floor clock also chimes melodiously whenever it strikes an hour. A floor clock is so intricate that only a master can make it. In fact, it’s more of a work of art, rather than a fixture.

Life A-celebrating

Indeed, the floor clock is the best gift for a newly married couple about to start a new life together. Not only will the floor clock mark the passage of time, it will chime and mark the significant events of the growing family’s life together. The floor clock can also be passed from generation to generation, so you’ll know that your gift will last beyond this lifetime into the next and the one after that. There’s nothing like a timeless timepiece that can stand the test of time.

The recipient of a floor clock is very lucky indeed. This timeless piece has a value that’s ever increasing through the years. Not that you or anyone would want to get rid of it. Still, the floor clock might save the day when it’s absolutely needed.

Life should be constantly appreciated. There’s no better way to mark the passage of time for a new family than with a stunning floor clock. Let the floor clock chime in the hours, days, months, and years. Let the floor clock celebrate life.
