| Natural lawn care basics need to be learnt before you can really take care of your lawn. If you are looking for the healthiest way to take care of your lawn then natural lawn care products are just what you need. Often natural products can give you much better results than ordinary lawn care products and so if you have never thought about switching from chemical to organic, now could be a good time. Before you can start using natural lawn care products however, you will need to know a few basics on how to use them. Here you will find everything you need to know about using natural lawn care products. The Basics of Natural Lawn Care If you find that your lawn needs fertilizing more than once a year then you ideally should look into the health of our soil. You should not need to use a fertilizer more than once per year and so if you do, it would suggest that there is a hidden problem within the lawn. It could be that you have a problem with your soil. You can test this by testing the soils PH levels and if they come back higher or lower than 6.5-7.0 then it suggests there could be a problem. The soil could also have a problem with clay residue which can cause the soil to compact and stop the air and nutrients from getting to the lawn. If you have got a compacted soil problem then it will need to be aerated. This simply means that you will need to lift small areas of the turf to get air into the soil. If you are not confident doing this by yourself then you can always hire a professional to do it for you. Watering tends to be another issue when it comes to natural lawn care. You really need to ensure that you do not over-water your lawn as if you do you will discourage the roots to grow deep into the soil. When the roots grow deeper, they gain the moisture that they need from the soil and you will not have to water the lawn as often as you do now. This means that weeds are killed off better as they will dry out long before the grass does. Overall by taking into account these natural lawn care basic tips, you can be sure that you will be left with fantastic results. It is not as difficult as you might first imagine looking after your lawn the natural way. Just as long as you take care of any problems that your lawn currently has, you will ensure that you are left with excellent results all year round. |
