| Do you want to learn how to build a pond that looks great in the dark? It’s actually not difficult at all, and the effects you can get from doing different things can be really spectacular. Here are the steps on how to build a beautiful pond that will make your night parties or romantic evenings fantastic. 1. Find a great place for the pond in your yard. Making the pond easy to see from the road or through the windows in your home is a great idea, and a great way to share the beauty of your pond. 2. Dig your hole in the shape that you want, and around 8 to 24 inches deep. Place a thick liner or gravel in the bottom of your pond. Fill it with water, and plant your plants around the pond. 3. Next, you want to add some beautiful lighting to make your pond look amazing after dark. A great tip on how to build a pond for beauty after dark is to use LED lights. They are strong and durable. You can go with other lights as well, if you want something a bit dimmer. 4. You can place ‘floating’ lights made specifically for your pond in the water for a really beautiful effect. Most of these run on solar power, so after sitting in the sun all day, the light from them should last a while. A great tip for how to build a pond if you don’t want a lot of maintenance is to get the solar powered lights. This is also great if there isn’t a readily available source of electricity. 5. Another great idea is to place ‘focused’ lights in the ground around your pond to shine on plants that you have placed around the pond. You can also get lights that will go around your pond and light the water. 6. Try colored lights for a really great effect. Seeing this from the road while you’re driving by, or through the windows is just amazing. Lighting for your pond is a great way to make it beautiful at night.
